For the Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht, I collaborated with MR.Beam on a freelance project creating an immersive projection experience celebrating the history of Maliebaan Station. The creative challenge was to transform a complex timeline and a large amount of historical information into a clear and engaging visual story. My goal was to showcase the station’s heritage in a way that felt both authentic and imaginative, while making the history accessible to visitors.
I conducted additional visual research by visiting the Spoorwegmuseum myself, studying the architecture, atmosphere, and historical context of the station. I combined these insights with archival material and translated them into new visual concepts and final artwork that supported the overall experience.

To explore different visual directions, I started with sketches and experimented with the unique shapes and details found throughout the Spoorwegmuseum’s architecture. Through this process, I developed a colourful and celebratory style that reflected the spirit of the project: documenting the station’s history while creating designs that celebrate its heritage.
For the Zuiderzeemuseum, I contributed to the annual edition of Zuiderzeelicht, an evening walking experience that allows visitors to discover the museum in a completely different way.
In 2025, the experience told the story of De Heldin van Hoorn, set in 1725 and inspired by historical events. The main challenge was to create a visual world that felt historically authentic while remaining accessible and engaging for a broad audience, including young children.
Drawing on my previous experience working on The Adventures of Paddington Bear, I helped develop a visual approach that balanced tension and wonder. By carefully considering atmosphere, character design, and storytelling, we created an immersive experience that could feel exciting and mysterious without becoming too frightening for younger visitors.

At MR.Beam, I worked on an immersive exhibition about the history of the Laurenskerk. One of the main challenges was the limited quality of the available historical imagery, while the existing visual direction required further development to fully support the storytelling.
My role was to refine and expand the visual treatment by researching how it could be applied more effectively across the installation. Building on the existing concept, I developed new illustrations, enhanced archival photographs through photo editing and AI upscaling, and integrated these elements into a cohesive visual language. The result was a vibrant projection experience designed for the church's fifteen-metre projection wall, bringing centuries of history to life in an engaging and immersive way.
